The Center for Economic Research is driven by a vision that institutions working for the public interest could team up to build the economic and technical platform for knowledge-intensive production and marketing in the private economy.
The CER assumes the role of economic observatory and as such it produces a set of annual reference publications that include analytical reports on the Lebanese economy and the investment environment, sectoral and survey reports, and position papers on central and controversial economic issues.
At the enterprise level, the CER partners with EU-funded programs that involve preparing sectoral studies and encouraging the creation of joint ventures between Lebanese business enterprises and their European counterparts. The latest projects within that approach were carried out under the Invest in Med program and covered five sectors of activity.
