A press conference was held at the CCIA-BML on the 04th of December 2014 on the occasion of hosting a Lebanese delegation of Diaspora talents from Paris, London and Berlin who is visiting Beirut between the 04th and the 06th of December , within the EU funded project “MedGeneration – Mobilizing Economies Diasporas for Mediterranean Development”.
The main objective of the project is to strengthen the entrepreneurship in Mediterranean partner countries through activities supporting investment projects, transfer of innovation, training, coaching and customized support.
The CCIA-BML, being the Lebanese partner in this project, was the platform for discussing and overviewing the general economic and investment climates in Lebanon.
The outcome of this conference was strengthening the effective participation of diaspora by increasing their capacity to forge strategic development partnerships with Lebanese organizations, and presenting the outcome of the study tour that took place in Europe, in addition to launching the Master Class program that will take place at ESA (Ecole Superieure des Affaires) on the 05th and 06th of December 2014, with a group of local young entrepreneurs.
Mr. Naji Mouzannar, the Chairman of the Committee for Trade Agreements, presented the welcome speech; Mr. Arslan Sinno, MedGeneration Expert, briefed the participants about the results of the study tour in Europe and the willingness of the diaspora to get involved in economic projects in Lebanon; Mr. Hady El Assaad, the Project Manager, highlighted the importance of MedGeneration in affecting the Lebanese economy as a whole.
