

Medacity Forum 2025 in Cagliari, brought together leaders from business and academia across the Mediterranean, with the Beirut Chamber represented by Director General Mr. Rabih Sabra and Director of Projects Mrs. Hana Nehme. In the panel on “Port Development and Urban Mobility in the Mediterranean,” Rabih Sabra emphasized the Port of Beirut’s historically evolving role in trade and urban porosity, lessons from the 2020 blast, recovery and connectivity, PPPs, and urban regeneration for regional integration.
Organized by ASCAME and the Cagliari-Oristano Chamber, the forum featured the Interreg NEXT MED meeting on EU funded projects, youth hackathon, panels on sustainable cities, and a visit to the new port terminal.
