The Chamber of Beirut & Mount Lebanon organized with ANIMA Investment Network two days local training event in Beirut within the framework of EDILE project. The training aims at enhancing the capacities of the local authorities involved in analyzing and assessing the local and foreign investment projects in Lebanon.
At the opening session, Mrs. Hana Haidar, HR Director at the CCIABML, welcomed the representatives from public and private sectors, tackled the strengths of the Lebanese investment environment and the need to optimize the environmental and social impact of investment projects through presenting EDILE assessment toolkit.
Mr. Biede Badr, EDILE Project Manager at ANIMA, and Mrs. Shaden Baydoun EDILE Project Manager at CCIABML explained the origin of EDILE initiative, highlighted the context and objectives of the local training, and elaborated on the project’s approach in terms of set of assessment criteria.
Guest speakers and experts from academic and institutional backgrounds will focus over the two days sessions on importance of CSR, best practices in projects evaluation, testimonies, case studies and will end up by introducing EDILE label for sustainability purposes.
