The Kick-off Meeting of the EU funded project TECHLOG took place via zoom on 28 October 2021 in presence of the ENI CBC MED program JTC representatives and the consortium members from. The Project is led by University of Cagliari in partnership with academic, port training institutes and chambers of commerce from Italy, Egypt, Spain, Lebanon, Tunisia and Lebanon, represented by the Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon.
TECHLOG (Technological Transfer for Logistics Innovation in Mediterranean area) seeks to strengthen ties between academia and the (trans)port industry (namely the transport inside port areas) in the Mediterranean region. The project will set in place a Cross-Border Med Open Lab aimed at facilitating knowledge sharing and joint technology transfer initiatives between academia and (trans)port industry in the field of advanced simulation for (trans)port and logistics staff. This will help trigger a knowledge-based development built around innovation and advanced simulation technologies that will contribute to the growth of the EU-Med trans(port) economy.
The meeting encompassed presentations of each partner institution, the TECHLOG project presentation by the lead beneficiary as well as the planned activities that will be implemented and role of each partner over the 30 months of the project lifetime up till 2024.
