The Kick-off Meeting of the EU funded project <a href="https://www.enicbcmed.eu/projects/techlog">TECHLOG</a> took place via zoom on 28 October 2021 in presence of the ENI CBC MED program JTC representatives and the consortium members from. The Project is led by University of Cagliari in partnership with academic, port training institutes and chambers of commerce from Italy,&nbsp;Egypt,&nbsp;Spain,&nbsp;Lebanon,&nbsp;Tunisia and Lebanon, represented by the Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon. &nbsp; TECHLOG (Technological Transfer for Logistics Innovation in Mediterranean area) seeks to strengthen ties between academia and the (trans)port industry (namely the transport inside port areas) in the Mediterranean region. The project will set in place a Cross-Border Med Open Lab aimed at facilitating knowledge sharing and joint technology transfer initiatives between academia and (trans)port industry in the field of advanced simulation for (trans)port and logistics staff. This will help trigger a knowledge-based development built around innovation and advanced simulation technologies that will contribute to the growth of the EU-Med trans(port) economy.&nbsp; The meeting encompassed presentations of each partner institution, the TECHLOG project presentation by the lead beneficiary as well as the planned activities that will be implemented and role of each partner over the 30 months of the project lifetime up till 2024. بيروت في 19 تشرين الثاني 2021 وزير الإقتصاد والهيئات يصدران إعلاناً مشتركاً يؤكد الحفاظ على هوية لبنان الإقتصادية المرتكز على الإقتصاد الحر والمبادرة الفردية &nbsp; شقير يسلم سلام خلال لقائه بالهيئات في غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان مذكرة مطالب وإقتراحات تمت مناقشة بنودها كاملة &nbsp; عقدت الهيئات الإقتصادية برئاسة رئيسها الوزير السابق محمد شقير إجتماعاً مع وزير الاقتصاد والتجارة أمين سلام بحضور مدير الوزارة محمد أبو حيدر وأعضاء الهيئات وعدد من رؤساء النقابات القطاعية، اليوم في مقر غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان خصص لمناقشة القضايا الإقتصادية الملحة لا سيما المتعلقة بالتعافي الاقتصادي والمفاوضات مع صندوق النقد الدولي وبرامج تحفيز القطاعات الاقتصادية. شقير بداية رحب شقير بالوزير سلام في غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان &quot;بيت الاقتصاد اللبناني&quot; في هذا الإجتماع مع الهيئات الإقتصادية التي تمثل القطاع الخاص بمختلف قطاعاته ومؤسساته، والذي نأمل منه تفعيل الشراكة مع وزارة الإقتصاد والتجارة للحفاظ القطاع الخاص العمود الفقري للإقتصاد اللبناني، وتحفيزه وتقويته كونه يشكل الرافعة الحقيقة لإنقاذ لبنان وإعادته الى طريق التعافي والنهوض. وإذ دعا شقير الى تضافر كل الجهود للحفاظ على الإقتصاد الحر وهوية لبنان الاقتصادية وتشجيع المبادرة الفردية، شدد على ضرورة وقف إتخاذ الإجراءات التي ينتج عنها تضخم وتنعكس سلباً على المواطن والمؤسسات، مؤكداً في هذا الإطار، على ضرورة أن تنفذ كل هذه القرارات والإجراءات من ضمن خطة متكاملة وسلة واحدة، وفي إطار برنامج صندوق النقد الدولي، كي تؤدي الى النتائج المرجوة منها في غطار عملية التعافي وإعادة النهوض. كما شدد شقير على ضرورة أن تتأنى الحكومة في إتخاذ القرارات التي لها تداعيات إقتصادية وإجتماعية في الوقت الراهن، مشدداً على ضرورة تمرير فترة الأعياد المقبلة التي تشكل متنفساً للقطاعات الإقتصادية، من دون أي خضات تمنع مجيء المغتربين لتمضية عطلة الأعياد في ربوع بلدهم. وسلم شقير الوزير سلام مذكرة تتضمن أبرز مطالب وإقتراحات الهيئات الإقتصادية والتي تعتبرها في غاية الاهمية في المرحلة الراهنة، وأبرز بنودها: الحفاظ على هوية لبنان الإقتصادية ونظامه الإقتصادي الحر، الذي يرتبط إرتباطاً وثيقاً بقانون المنافسة الذي يعمل على إقراراه لا سيما الحفاظ على الوكالات الحصرية، الإطلاع على المناقشات التي تجري حول موضوع رفع الدولار الجمركي لإعطاء الملاحظات حولها، إقرار قانون التسويات، توفير الحوافز للشركات التي تضررت من إنفجار المرفأ وكذلك للشركات الناشئة، إقرار قانون لحماية حسابات الفريش دولار (Fresh Dollar)، إقرار موازنة العام 2022، مواكبة الهيئات لملف المفاوضلات مع صندوق النقد الدولي، التنبيه الى التضخم الذي ينتج عن القرارات الحكومية، إعادة دراسة تطبيق الإتفاقيات التجارية والتركيز على حسن تطبيقها بشكل متكامل والتأكيد على مبدأ المعاملة بالمثل، التشدد في معالجة الإقتصاد غير الشرعي الذي بات أكبر من الإقتصاد الشرعي، ومكافحة التهريب والتزوير، تعيين لجنة رقابة على شركات الضمان فاعلة ولديها كفاءات عالية للتمكن من القيام بعملها في مراقبة شركات الضمان وخدماتها والحفاظ على حقوق المؤمنين، العمل على تفعيل الآلية التي اقترحتها الهيئات الاقتصادية من خلال ورقة غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان لضبط التصدير الىالخارج لا سيما الى السعودية. سلام من جهته، شكر الوزير سلام شقير والهيئات الإقتصادية على هذا للقاء الجامع مع ممثلي القطاع الخاص، الذي نأمل منه الخروج ببعض الإقتراحات والأطر التي من شأنها مواجهة تداعيات الأزمة الإقتصادية، &quot;ومنها القوانين التي يعمل عليها في إطار عملية الإصلاح التي يعول عليها لتحقيق نتائج إيجابية&quot;. وقال &quot;هدفنا تحقيق نتائج ملموسة في قضايا أساسية تهم الإقتصاد والمؤسسات والمواطن خلال ولاية الحكومة المحددة أصلاً&quot;. وحول البنود التي تضمنتها المذكرة والتي دار حولها ناقش طويل مع الحضور، أكد سلام حرصه على إقرار قانون المنافسة، الذي اصبح في مراحله النهائية، بشكل أن يكون قانوناً عصرياً يتلاءم مع ما هو معمول به في الدول المتقدمة، مشيراً الى أنه لا يمكن مقاربة الأمور من خلال المواقف الشعبوية، خصوصاً في هذه المرحلة الدقيقة التي يمر فيها البلد، لا سيما في بعض الملفات الحساسة مثل الوكالات الحصرية، لذلك لا بد من إجراء مقاربة علمية ومعاصرة، كي تأتي النتائج في مصلحة جميع الأطراف. كما أكد الوزير سلام على ضرورة أن تكون الإجرءات التي تتخذ في إطار معالجة الملفات الضاغطة، من ضمن سلة واحدة كي لا تفقد جدواها وصوابيتها. وشدد على ان التعاون مع الهيئات الإقتصادية يشكل ركيزة أساسية للنجاح، وعلى هذا الأساس، قال &quot;أنا منفتح على كل أنواع التعاون الشفاف والموثوق&quot;، داعياً الى بدء هذا التعاون من العمل الذي تقوم به الوزارة حالياً لمكافحة التزوير، لا سيما بالنسبة للماركات، وكذلك في موضوع مراجعة الإتفاقيات التجارية من خلال اللجنة الإتحادية في إتحاد الغرف اللبنانية. واكد الوزير سلام حرصه على قطاع التأمين لأهميته الكبيرة، مؤكداً العمل على تعيين لجنة رقابة على شركات الضمان تتضمن الشفافية والفعالية في كل الإتجاهات المتعلقة بمهامها. وبالنسبة للآلية التي إقترحتها غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان لضبط عمليات التصدير لا سيما بإتجاه السعودية والخليج، اكد أنه سيعمل كل المستطاع لوضعها موضع التنفيذ. وختم الوزير سلام، بالتشديد على ضرورة تعزيز التعاون والانفتاح والشراكة بين الوزارة والهيئات الإقتصادية خصوصاً في هذه المرحلة الدقيقة لتحقيق أكبر قدر من النتائج الإيجابية في الملفات الإقتصادية والاجتماعية المطروحة. إعلان مشترك وفي نهاية الإجتماع صدر إعلان مشترك بإسم الوزير السلام والهيئات الإقتصادية، أكد على هوية لبنان الإقتصادية المرتكز على الإقتصاد الحر والمبادرة الفردية ورفض أي محاولة للمساس به كونه جزءا لا يتجزأ من كيان لبنان ووجوده وهويته. &nbsp;

YEP MED project Escola Europea in &nbsp;Port of Beirut within the OT2 OT3 training program In the framework of the EU funded project YEP MED<a href="#_edn1" name="_ednref1" title="">[i]</a> (Youth Employment in Ports of The Mediterranean), in which the Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon is a key partner, a visit to the port of Beirut and Beirut Terminal Container took place yesterday. Director of ESCOLA Europea, lead partner of YEP MED project and Marco Muci, Country Manager of the project in Italy, participated to this visit with Lebanese trainees within the framework of the occupational training program OT2-OT3 that started on 16 November 2021.&nbsp; The visit started by visiting the port facilities and the Beirut Container terminal (BCTC) where the team presented the diversified operations and services, namely: safety, planning, operations, trainings, and R &amp; D. The team explored as well the practical measures they implemented in response to the Beirut blast to ensure the Container Terminal resumed operational status and safely. The presentations were followed by a sightsee of the BCT facilities: the yard, cranes, vessels, maintenance, operations room and other services. In line with YEP MED project objectives, channels of recruitment of the needed profiles and related skills of the operational staff were showcased and discussed between the Chamber and BCT teams. The Yep MED project is led by ESCOLA Europea-Intermodal Transport along with partners from med port authorities and maritime training institutes from Italy, Spain, France, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia and Lebanon. The Chamber of Beirut is a key partner in the&nbsp; YEP MED&nbsp;project that aims to develop port-logistics training and vocational resources (TVET) adapted to sector needs to strengthen youth employability; increase and upgrade local employment opportunities through the creation of real dual-learning programs with job placements, strengthening the role of SME&rsquo;s operating in the port ecosystems for future employment creation; and setting up collaborative national and transnational partnerships between port-logistics associations, operators, SMEs, training centers and VET providers, whilst introducing a PPP co-management process. <div>&nbsp; <hr align="left" size="1" width="33%" /> <div id="edn1"> <a href="#_ednref1" name="_edn1" title="">[i]</a> The Yep Med project &ldquo;Youth Employment in Ports of the Mediterranean&rdquo; is implemented under the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme (<a href="http://www.enpicbcmed.eu/">www.enpicbcmed.eu</a>. its total budget is &euro; 2.9 Million and it is financed, &euro; 2,610,000 by the European Union through the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument. &nbsp; </div> </div> &nbsp; &nbsp;

YEP MED project:Visit to Port of Beirut

YEP MED Working Group Meeting at Beirut Chamber in presence of ESCOLA EUROPEA Within the progressing activities of&nbsp;the EU funded project YEP MED, Mr. Rabih Sabra, Director General of the Beirut Chamber welcomed yesterday the 2nd working group meeting of YEP MED in presence of&nbsp;Mr. Eduard Rod&eacute;s, Director of ESCOLA Europea, lead partner of YEP MED project and Marco Muci, Country Manager of the project in Italy. Mr. Sabra stressed on the importance of the YEP MED project in this crucial time after Beirut blast and the potential opportunities that would be offered for youth to work in the promising blue economy sector. From his end, Mr. Rodes presented the context of the YEP MED project and the digital platforms and smart tools created within the project to ease the logistics and international maritime trade procedures. &nbsp; The working group meeting brought together the key port community stakeholders, namely Mr. Ziad Kenaan CEO of BCTC, Mr. Walid Lattouf, President of Lebanese Syndicate Forwarders, Mr. Elie Zakhour, president of the International Chamber of Navigation, Mr. Antoine Gharios representative of CMA CGM, Mrs. Sawsan Wazzan Board Member of the Orphanage Dar Aytam Al Islamiya and Mr. Marcel Hinain, Vice-president of the American University of Technology. The meeting represented a relevant opportunity for the stakeholders who signed with the Chamber at the start of the project Memorandums of Understanding to deliberate insights and recommendations on youth employability in port logistics sector Head of Development Projects at the Chamber, Hana Nehme, and the YEP MED Communication Manager Dory Abou Saab, presented the achieved milestones over the first year of the project lifetime, namely the implemented vocational and occupational trainings, the simulation digital solution ERP and the future collaboration pertaining to the upcoming Apprenticeship program of young trainees. The mission of ESCOLA team will continue today with the Beirut port visit along with the trainers and trainees to explore the port operations and the Beirut Container Terminal facilities. &nbsp; &nbsp;

بيروت في 16 تشرين الثاني 2021 &nbsp; استقبل رئيس الهيئات الاقتصادية الوزير السابق محمد شقير سفير جورجيا زازا كانديلاكي اليوم في مقر غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان، وجرى البحث في سبل تنمية العلاقات الاقتصادية الثنائية. بداية رحب شقير بالسفير الجورجي، مؤكداً إهتمام القطاع الخاص اللبناني بتنمية العلاقات الاقتصادية مع جورجيا وتعزيز التعاون بين القطاع الخاص في البلدين. وإذ اشار الى ان جورجيا هي محط إهتمام من قبل الكثير من رجال الأعمال اللبنانيين للإستثمار فيها خصوصاً في الفترة الأخيرة، شدد على ضرورة زيادة التواصل وتبادل زيارات لوفود رجال الأعمال لوضع رؤية مشتركة لتنمية التعاون والقطاعات والفرص المجدية التي يمكن العمل عليها. من جهته، رحب السفير الجورجي بالأفكار التي اقترحها شقير خلال اللقاء والتي من شأنها تنمية التعاون الاقتصادي الثنائي، مشيراً الى أنه سينقل هذه الافكار للمعنيين في بلاده لا سيما المسؤولين في القطاع الخاص لوضعها موضع التنفيذ، مؤكداً إن القطاع الخاص في بلاده هو على أتم الاستعداد للقيام بزياة الى لبنان. ولفت الى ان بلاده لديها خبرات كبيرة في مجالات النفط والغاز والطاقة والزراعة وغيرها، وهي ترغب في أن تتعاون مع لبنان في هذه المجالات. في نهاية اللقاء قدم شقير للسفير الجورجي كتاب الغرفة. &nbsp;

EU Funded Project YEP MED Occupational Training in Port Logistics in Beirut Within the series of trainings conceived by the EU funded project YEP MED, an introductory occupational training OT in blue sector took place in Beirut between the 21st and 24th September 2021. Indeed, 30 young men and women from various Lebanese regions and diverse educational backgrounds participated in the YEP MED port logistics training program. The objective is to communicate knowledge in port management, customs organization, shipping lines; to raise also young people interest in these activities and to shed lights on the logistics sector context and its various opportunities. &nbsp; This five- days training program included the following lectures: Maritime Sector &amp; Ports; Customs Services &amp; Organization; Shipping Lines &amp; Forwarders and Supply Chain Management. The seminar provided the trainees with hands on the logistics operations in ports within a participatory interactive approach. YPE MED project is planning to dig deep into the smart port logistics sector through the upcoming training program OT1 scheduled for the last week of October 2021, in order to pave the way and familiarize trainees with the logistics simulation application ERP. YEP MED occupational training in Port Logistics in Beirut

<div> CEO summit on Global Economy </div> Marilyne Jallad &nbsp; The Chamber of Beirut and Mount Lebanon, represented by its Director General Rabih Sabra, participated in the CEO summit &ldquo;Resetting the Global Economy&rdquo; which was held virtually on the 13th of September 2021. Co-organized Arab-British Chamber of Commerce and the Cranfield University, this summit brought together prominent CEOs, business leaders and policy makers from across the regions to share effective and sustainable business practices following the Covid pandemic. The summit addressed four key topics namely, &ldquo;Arab-British trade and investment, the Future of Education, Sustainability for industries in transformation, and, Entrepreneurship and digital disruption&rdquo;. Speakers included&nbsp;Khaled&nbsp;Hanafy SG of the Union of Arab Chambers, Haifa&nbsp;Fahoum Al Kaylani President and Founder of the Arab International Women&rsquo;s Forum,&nbsp;Kamal&nbsp;Hassan Assistant SG of the League of Arab States and RT Hon Baroness Elizabeth Symons of Vernham Chairman of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, who moderated the third session attended by Mr. Sabra. &nbsp; &ldquo;Sustainability for industries in transformation, organizational resilience and personal well-being&rdquo; This session gathered in addition to Rabih Sabra, Walid A. Abukhaled CEO Officer of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries and Kevin&nbsp;Morrell professor of transformational strategy at the Cranfield School of Management. Mr. Sabra addressed issues related to the Lebanese economic and sanitary crisis, highlighting the Beirut Chamber&rsquo;s interventions to support the Lebanese private sector and its initiatives to promote the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Professor Morrell noticed that although the global economy is influenced by the major nations&rsquo; economies, the latter became powerless when facing a global, threat but the pandemic reflected a positive side through inducing resilience. Reacting to a question about the level of support from rich countries to the poorest, Walid A. Abukhaled noted that the pandemic was a sudden shock that disturbed all countries. He added that despite the WHO interventions, governments focused on supporting their own societies and he concluded on the G20 summit 2020 in the KSA, which tackled aids to countries that faced difficulties due to the spread of the pandemic. &nbsp; Beirut Chamber support initiatives to the Lebanese business community facing the pandemic and its initiatives to promote the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals How far has the global economy succeeded in building sustainable resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic?&nbsp; Indeed, the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has tremendously disrupted our societies, hardly affected our economies and business ecosystems. Lebanon has lately witnessed an escalating critical situation, whereby the economic and sanitary crisis, added to the devastating blast of Beirut Port, have significantly afflicted the entire society and its various economic actors. Hence, the drastic depreciation of the Lebanese pound and the growing inflation impeded the purchasing power of the Lebanese households and induced a severe recession. Hence and in the absence of comprehensive public support schemes, MSMEs have been compelled to reduce their activity or completely shut down, with negative consequences that had deterring effects on employment. In response to this situation, the Beirut Chamber intervened through various initiatives in order to face the growing challenges by building resilience and providing support to the Lebanese business community. Hence, the Beirut Chamber implemented preventive measures and awareness campaigns to face the pandemic, and secured facemasks free of charge to public authorities and private institutions. Also and considering the prevailing financial difficulties, the Chamber granted member companies delays for the payment of their fees. Moreover, the Chamber created the &quot;Beirut Donation&quot; platform to help MSMEs alleviate financial strains, through in-kind contributions and small grants to devastated businesses. In this same context, the Chamber contracted a consulting firm specialized in loss valuation to assist damaged MSMEs in obtaining due compensation from their insurance companies for the incurred damages caused by the Beirut blast. I would like to conclude here by saying that despite the outstanding difficulties and recurrent hurdles, the Lebanese people and business community have shown, over decades, a remarkable resilience, and have always resisted and overcome obstacles, exactly like the Phoenix that Rise from the Ashes. &nbsp; Leadership skills and business best practices required to address employee and personal well-being that became high priorities during the pandemic? The COVID-19 pandemic has drastically changed the way corporations and workers operate. Whether working from home or office, fear, anxiety and other strong emotions may turn to be overwhelming, and workplace stress may lead to burnout. From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, business leaders have noticed the importance of employees&rsquo; wellbeing on productivity. However, a Harvard Business Review survey showed that while executives had been focusing on their employees&rsquo; mental health they dedicated little care to restore their own energy levels and wellbeing. As to the Beirut Chamber&rsquo;s response to the pandemic and lockdown measures, we adopted flexible onsite and remote work schedules. In this context, I would like to highlight that the Beirut Chamber has achieved over the last decade, a progressive digital transformation and has integrated agile management techniques, accompanied by skills development programs. This allowed us to face the constraining situation caused by the pandemic and our personnel was able to work remotely through our online and IT platforms. Yet, for some particular functions that require onsite physical presence, such as the certification department, we adopted flexible arrangements through staff shifts and minimal presence at the nearest work location in order to secure continuous services for our exporters, namely the issuance of certificates of origin. As a best practice to address the wellbeing of employees, the Beirut Chamber in partnership with IFC of the World Bank Group, organized workshops to raise awareness about the mental health and wellbeing of employees during COVID-19 and subsequent to the Beirut Port Blast. Animated by senior psychologists, the awareness sessions, included the following topics: <ul> <li>First to&nbsp; identify the psycho-social risks associated with the pandemic on employees, following the social distancing and homeworking such as isolation, job loss, illness, as well as the trauma post the Beirut blast;</li> <li>Second to assess the influence of the work from home on the mental health of female employees including work-family interactions and domestic violence;</li> <li>Third to discuss the conflicting reasons for employers to reconcile between ensuring employees productivity and their mental well-being, reasons that directly affect employees&rsquo; retention, loyalty and productivity.</li> </ul> Finally, and since mental wellbeing is also closely associated with the financial wellbeing, the Beirut Chamber offered financial aid to employees in order to compensate the devaluation of their income in Lebanese pounds. &nbsp; To what extent the transformations experienced are going to be sustainable in the future? How to support the implementation of the UN SDGs for 2030? As you know, the world has committed to implementing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through 17 Goals or SDGs, which were adopted by United Nations in 2015. Following the outspread of the pandemic, it appeared that its direct effects on the health sector (SDG3), were closely interconnected with the remaining Sustainable Development Goals namely education (SDG4), economy (SDG8), consumption &amp; production (SDG12) and climate (SDG13). Indeed, health as a state of physical, mental and social wellbeing is a prerequisite for sustainable development and is closely interlinked with the personal, social, economic, political, and environmental factors that are central to the achievement of the UN SDGs. The Beirut Chamber, being the representative of the private sector in the Lebanese national committee for SDGs, has implemented various activities and initiatives that fall under the 17 pillars, namely Decent Work &amp; Economic Growth, Quality Education, and Gender Equality. At the level of decent work and social protection, the Beirut Chamber has closely collaborated with local and international counterparts, like the International Labor Organization and the European Training Foundation, in elaborating studies about new health insurance and pension plans, in addition to other initiatives on skills mismatch and job creation. On the level of education, the Lebanese training center at the Beirut chamber has been providing since its establishment in 1996, a wide range of training programs that aim to enhance the upskilling of the Lebanese workforce. Moreover, the Beirut Chamber sponsors a Master in Entrepreneurship program in partnership with the Paris Chamber and HEC business school, to develop the entrepreneurial skills of Lebanese graduates and facilitate their integration in the labor market. Additionally, the chamber is a member of CONECTE the Collaborative Network for Career-building, Training, and E-learning, which is an ERASMUS - PLUS initiative, focusing on providing support to Lebanese universities to promote e-skills and ensure a greater integration of digital learning in businesses. Finally, on the level of Economic Development, the chamber is a major partner with local and international counterparts namely the EU, to implement development projects that aim at upskilling young men and women including NEETS. The targeted sectors include the port logistics, IT, finance, agro-food and textile, with an ultimate goal to enhance economic growth and create new job opportunities for the Lebanese youth.

مسقط في 17 تشرين الأول 2021 بدأ الوفد الاقتصادي اللبناني برئاسة رئيس الهيئات الاقتصادية الوزير السابق محمد شقير زيارته الى سلطنة عمان حيث سيجري مباحثات على مدى يومين مع عدد من الوزراء العمانيين المعنيين بالشأن الاقتصادي ومع غرفة تجارة وصناعة عمان بهدف تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي في مختلف المجالات والقطاعات والبحث في الفرص الاستثمارية. ويضم الوفد اللبناني الى شقير كل من: نائب رئيس غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان نبيل فهد، نائب رئيس جمعية الصناعيين اللبنانيين زياد بكداش، رئيس غرفة التجارة الأميركية اللبنانية سليم الزعني، رئيس هيئة تنمية العلاقات الاقتصادية اللبنانية الخليجية ايلي رزق، عضو مجلس إدارة غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان فيكتور نجاريان، مروان صيداني، محمد رحال وسمير رحال. غرفة عمان المحطة الأولى كانت في غرفة تجارة وصناعة عمان حيث التقى شقير رئيس الغرفة رضا بن جمعة آل صالح بحضور سفير لبنان في عمان البير سماحة ورزق، حيث تركز البحث على سبل تعزيز التعاون بين الهيئات الاقتصادية وغرفة عمان بهدف وتطوير العلاقات الاقتصادية والاستثمارية بين البلدين وتعزيز التعاون بين القطاع الخاص في مختلف المجالات مع التركيز على قطاعات الصناعة والزراعة والسياحة والعلامات التجارية. منتدى الأعمال بعد ذلك إنعقد منتدى الاعمال العماني اللبناني بمشاركة الوفد اللبناني وحشد كبير من القيادات الاقتصادية العمانية ورجال الأعمال العمانيين. آل صالح والقى آل صالح كلمة قال فيها &quot;إن منتدى الأعمال العماني اللبناني والذي نبدأ فعالياته اليوم يأتي في وقت تشهد فيه العلاقات الثنائية المشتركة بين السلطنة ولبنان تطورا ملحوظا في شتى المجالات، وذلك ما يدل عليه بالزيارات المتبادلة بين الوفود التجارية في البلدين الأمر الذي يتطلب من القطاع الخاص في الجانبين العمل على تحقيق المزيد من التعاون والشراكات مع التركيز على القطاعات الإنتاجية والتي تشمل الصناعة والزراعة والسياحة والعلامات التجارية (الفرانشايز). وبعدما تحدث &nbsp;عن تقدم السلطنة المستمر للتشريعات والقوانين والإجراءات المنظمة للاستثمار والحوافز والتسهيلات التي تمنح للمستثمرين وكذلك والتقدم المستمر على مستوى مؤشر سهولة الأعمال، اشار الى ان الرؤية المستقبلية عمان 2040 تقوم على أن يكون القطاع الخاص هو من يقود عملية التنمية الاقتصادية الشاملة للسلطنة وهذا يشمل إيجاد ممكنات وعناصر قوة لتشجيع الاستثمارات المحلية والأجنبية وبناء عليه تم تحديد عدد من القطاعات الاقتصادية الأساسية الهادفة لتنويع مصادر الدخل وهي التصنيع، والقطاع اللوجستي، والتعدين، والسياحة، والثروة السمكية ، بالإضافة إلى قطاعات مساندة وهي التعليم والصحة ونظم المعلومات والطاقة البديلة. وأكد آل صالح ان اللقاءات المشتركة بين غرفة تجارة وصناعة عمان واتحاد الغرف اللبنانية نجح في وضع تصور مشترك للعلاقات الاقتصادية، ولتعزيز فرص الاستثمار المجدية في مختلف القطاعات في البلدين، وستكون الخطوة القادمة هي إبرام الشراكات الاستثمارية بين القطاع الخاص في البلدين، داعياً رجال الاعمال العمانيين إلى الإستفادة من هذه الفرصة والجلوس مع نظرائهم من أصحاب الاعمال اللبنانين لتبادل الخبرات والمعارف للوصول إلى تأسيس مشاريع إستثمارية مشتركة، تسهم في نمو إقتصاد البلدين&quot;. شقير وألقى شقير كلمة أعلن فيها إلتزام الجانب اللبناني القيام بكل ما من شأنه تقوية وتعزيز التعاون وخلق شراكات مجدية بين القطاع الخاص في البلدين للإستثمار في الفرص المتاحة، لأن التجارب المشتركة في هذا المجال هي تجارب مشرفة وناجحة ويسودها التعاون والود والمحبة الصادقة. وقال &quot;لذلك إننا ماضون سوياً الى الأمام لتحقيق المزيد من التعاون والشراكة والنجاحات بما يساهم في تنمية وإزدهار إقتصاد البلدين&quot;. وإذ لفت شقير الى إن الزيارات والنشاطات السابقة كان لها مساهمة قوية في ترسيخ هذا التعاون والنتائج الإيجابية المحققة في أكثر من مجال، أكد &quot;أننا نطمح لأكثر من ذلك بكثير، وذلك بناء على العلاقة والشراكة القوية في ما بيننا، وبناء على الفرص الكثيرة والمتنوعة والمتاحة، وكذلك على الحاجة لتنويع الاقتصاد ولمتطلبات النمو وتحسين الأوضاع الاجتماعية والمعيشية لشعبي البلدين&quot;. وقال شقير &quot;كنا على الدوام نعلن إستعداد القطاع الخاص اللبناني للشراكة مع ظيره العماني للإستثمار في المشاريع المطروحة، واليوم نجدد هذا الإستعداد مع عمل الحكومة اللبنانية لإعادة تفعيل مؤتمر سيدر لتطوير البنى التحتية بتمويل يصل الى 11 مليار دولار، وإطلاق مشاريع إعادة إعمار مرفأ بيروت. كما أننا جاهزون لوضع بين ايديكم كل خبراتنا وتجاربنا الناجحة في الدول العربية وفي الخليج وفي العالم والمعروفة لدى الجميع، للمساهمة البناءة في الجهود الجبارة التي تقوم بها السلطنة لتنويع إقتصاد السلطنة. كذلك إننا جاهزون لشراكة متينة مع رجال الأعمال العمانيين للإستثمار المشترك في الدول الأخرى بالإستعانة بخبرة وفعالية الإغتراب اللبناني في هذه الدول&quot;. وأكد شقير وجود فرص أكيدة لدى القطاع الخاص اللبناني في الصناعة والسياحة والفرانشايز وقطاع المأكولات والزراعة وغيرها، وكذلك هناك إمكانية لزيادة أرقام التبادل التجاري بين البلدين التي لا تزال متواضعة، 50 مليون دولار في العام 2019 و34 مليون دولار في العام 2020، خصوصاً ان الصناعة اللبنانية لديها منتجات متنوعة وتتمتع بأعلى المواصفات وتتلاءم مع الذوق العربي والعماني&quot;. وشدد شقير على ضرورة وضع آلية للمتابعة، تعمل أولاً على وضع ورقة عمل مشتركة بناء على الطروحات التي تمت خلال المنتدى ليصار الى متابعتها ووضعها موضع التنفيذ. عرض ونقاش بعد ذلك قدمت وزارة التجارة والصناعة وترويج الاستثمار ورقة عمل تحت عنوان (استثمر في عمان) استعرضت فيها بيئة الأعمال التنافسية بالسلطنة والمعززة للنمو والتنويع الاقتصادي والممكنة للقطاع الخاص. وقدمت الهيئة العامة للمناطق الاقتصادية الخاصة والمناطق الحرة ورقة عمل عرضت فيها المزايا والتسهيلات التي تقدمها المناطق الاقتصادية الخاصة والحرة للمستثمرين والفرص الاستثمارية والحوافز والتسهيلات. بكداش بعد ذلك دار نقاش بين الحضور حول الفرص الاستثمارية المتاحة في لبنان وعمان، وتحدث عدد من أعضاء الوفد اللبناني، حيث أكد بكداش أهمية الصناعة اللبنانية وتنوع منتجاتها وتنافسيتها، وأشار الى ان الكثير من المصانع وبفعل الظروف الصعبة التي يمر فيها لبنان تحاول التوسع في الخارج، لافتاً الى ان عمان تبقى وجهة جيدة وجاذبة للاستثمار. فهد وفي مداخلته، أكد فهد ان الأسواق الاستهلاكية في عمان تحتاج لنقل الخبرات لا سيما في الاعمال التجارية، مؤكداً ان لدى اللبنانيين خبرات واسعة في هذا المجال وبالامكان الاعتماد عليهم لا سيما لجهة تعريف المستهلكين العمانيين على العلامات التجارية البنانية. الزعني أما الزعني فتحدث عن أهمية المنتدى العماني اللبناني وجدواه لجهة تسليط الضوء على الاستثمار ووضع أطر تعاون بين القطاع الخاص في البلدين، معتبراً ان المنتدى قدم شرحاً وضحاً عن القوانين المحفزة للاستثمار التي تعتبر ركيزة أساسية للإنطلاق. إجتماعات عمل ثنائية وشهد انعقاد المنتدى لقاءات عمل ثنائية بين أعضاء الوفد اللبناني ورجال الأعمال العمانيين تركز البحث فيه إمكانية التعاون في ما بينهم وإبرام الاتفاقيات وشراكات عمل. دروع تقديرية وفي نهاية المنتدى قدم آل صالح درعاً تقديرية لشقير الذي قدم له بدوره درع غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان. إجتماع الغد ويشار الى ان إجتماعات الغد ستشمل وزير التجارة والصناعة وترويج الاستثمار قيس بن محمد اليوسف،وزير التراث والسياحة سالم بن محمد المحروقي، رئيس وحدة دعم التنفيذ والمتابعة خميس بن يوسف الجابري، رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة العمانية للتنمية السياحية محمد بن سالم الوبسعيدي.

مسقط في 18 تشرين الأول 2021 وصف رئيس الهيئات الاقتصادية الوزير السابق محمد شقير&nbsp; محصلة اليوم الثاني من الاجتماعات التي عقدها الوفد الاقتصادي اللبناني الذي يزور مسقط مع الجهات الرسمية والحكومية العمانية بالممتازة. وشملت اجتماعات اليوم الثاني: كل من وزير التجارة والصناعة وترويج الاستثمار قيس بن محمد اليوسف، وزير التراث والسياحة سالم بن محمد المحروقي، رئيس وحدة دعم التنفيذ والمتابعة خميس بن يوسف الجابري، رئيس مجلس إدارة الشركة العمانية للتنمية السياحية محمد بن سالم البوسعيدي، مشيراً الى أنه تم خلالها إجراء نقاش معمق لمختلف المواضيع الأساسية التي تم طرحها خلال منتدى الأعمال العماني اللبناني الذي انعقد أمس في غرفة عمان. وأعلن شقير عن وجود رغبة أكيدة وجدية من قبل القيادات الاقتصادية العمانية في القطاعين العام والخاص بتحقيق نقلة نوعية في التعاون الاقتصادي الثنائي، و&quot;هذا ما ترجم عبر تأكيد الوزراء والهيئات المعنيية بالشق الاقتصادي على تقديم كل التسهيل والقيام بالمتابعة الحثيثة مع الجانب اللبناني ولدى الادارت المعنية في عمان لوضعها موضع التنفيذ. ولفت شقير الى أنه تم الإتفاق على خارطة طريق تتضمن وضع تقرير مفصل عن كل المواضيع والأمور التي تم الاتفاق عليها، وتشكيل فريق عمل مشترك لمتابعة تطبيقها كل بند ببنده، وتنظيم لقاءات عمل متخصصة وقطاعية تجمع بين الجهات المعنية من البلدين حول النشاط إقتصادي مستهدف. وكشف شقير عن التوصل الى تفاهمات بين الجانبين اللبناني والعماني حول هذه المواضيع التي ستكون مدار متابعة وإهتمام مشترك، وهي: <ol> <li dir="RTL" value="NaN">&nbsp;التركيز على تسهيل الاستثمارات اللبنانية في عمان في مختلف القطاعات لا سيما على مستوى التمويل والاعفاءات واليد العاملة، وكذلك إنشاء شباك موحد للاستثمار في عمان.</li> <li dir="RTL" value="NaN">تشجيع رجال الاعمال العمانيين على الاستثمار في لبنان في مختلف القطاعات لا سيما في البنية التحتية، والعمل بشكل مشترك للاستثمار في الدول الأخرى.</li> <li dir="RTL" value="NaN">وضع مقترحات من قبل القطاع الخاص اللبناني عن التسهيلات والتحفيزات المطلوبة للإستثمارات الصناعية في عمان.</li> <li dir="RTL" value="NaN">الترويج للمنتجات الصناعية اللبنانية في عمان، وتشجيع التبادل السياحي بين البلدين.</li> <li dir="RTL" value="NaN">إنشاء شركة مشتركة لتوسيق المنتجات التي تصنع في عمان، في أفريقيا واوروبا.</li> <li dir="RTL" value="NaN">التعاون في المجال السياحي، لا سيما على مستوى الإستفادة من الخبرات اللبنانية في تسويق عمان وتطوير البنية التحتية السياحية على مستوى بيوت الضيافة والمطاعم والنشاطات المكملة.</li> <li dir="RTL" value="NaN">التعاون في مجال العلامات التجارية (الفرانشايز)، بهدف مساعدة غرفة عمان في إنشاء مركز للفرانشايز لتطوير ثقافة الفرانشايز في عمان، وتنظيم مؤتمر وعرض للعلامات التجارية اللبنانية في عمان.</li> <li dir="RTL" value="NaN">التعاون في مجال الصحة والتعليم لا سيما تحفيز إنشاء مستشفيات جامعية&nbsp; لبنانية في عمان، وكذلك بالنسبة للجامعات.</li> <li dir="RTL" value="NaN">تسيير رحلات طيران مباشرة بين لبنان وعمان، إن كان عبر طيران الشرق الأوسط (ميدل ايست) أو الطيران العماني.</li> </ol> وأكد شقير &quot;أننا لمسنا رغبة عمانية أكيدة للتعاون وتقوية العلاقات في مختلف القطاعات، خصوصاً إننا خرجنا بأفكار واضحة وكذلك آليات متابعة، وهذا ما يشكل خارطة طريق لتحقيق نقلة نوعية في علاقاتنا الاقتصادية خلال الفترة المقبلة. وحدة دعم التنفيذ وكان الوفد الاقتصادي اللبناني برئاسة شقير بدأ يومه الثاني بزيارة وحدة دعم التنفيذ والمتابعة ولقاء رئيسها الجابري بحضور سفير لبنان في عمان البير سماحة ورئيس غرفة عمان رضا بن جمعة آل صالح، حيث رحب الجابري بشقير والوفد المرافق مؤكداً إهتمام السلطنة بالتعاون مع رجال الاعمال اللبنانيين وفتح آفاق الاستثمار أمامهم في السلطنة، خصوصاً مع رؤية عمان 2040 التي تقدم سلة كبيرة من التحفيزات والاعفاءات ومناطق حرة للإستثمار. من جهته شكر شقير الجابري على إستقباله وإهتمامه، وعرض إهتمام القطاع الخاص اللبناني للإستثمار في عمان، معتبرة إن عمان تشكل فرصة اكيدة للبنانيين في قطاعات متعددة، مشدداً على ضرورة توفير تحفيزات وتسهيلات للشركات اللبنانية الراغبة في الاستثمار في عمان. من ثم قدم مدير التسويق في الوحدة عرضاً مفصلاً عن رؤية عمان 2040 وكل المشاريع المستهدفة والقواني المسهلة والمحفزة للاستثمار. وقد تم الاتفاق خلال هذا الاجتماع على تقديم الجانب اللبناني الاقتراحات التي يراها مناسبة لتسهيل وتحفيز الاستثمار في مجالات الصناعة السياحة والعلامات التجارية والقطاعات الاخرى المستهدفة. وفي نهاية الاجتماع قد شقير للجابري درع غرفة بيروت جبل لبنان كعربون شكر وتقدير. وزارة التجارة والصناعة المحطة الثانية كانت في وزراة التجارة والصناعة وترويج الاستثمار، حيث أجرى شقير وبحضور سماحة وآل صالح مباحثات شاملة مع الوزير اليوسف، الذي أبدى كل استعداد لتقديم المساعدة والمواكبة والدعم للمشاريع المطروحة والمستهدفة. وخلال هذا الاجتماع الذي ساده نقاش معمق&nbsp; كل الافكار والمشاريع التي ذكرت آنفاً، وايضاُ إقتراح افكار وخطط مستقبلية للمتابعة لإنجاح التعاون، حيث تم الاتفاق على سلة من المشاريع تطال الصناعة والسياحة والفرانشايز والتسيوق والصحة والتعليم وكذلك كيفية متابعتها من خلال عقد مؤتمرات ولقاءات عمل ومعارض ومؤتمرات في البلدين. وفي نهاية الاجتماع قد شقير الى اليوسف درع غرفة بيروت جبل لبنان كعربون شكر وتقدير، وكذلك قدم اليوسف الى شقير درع الوزراة. سفارة لبنان ثم انتقل الوفد الى سفارة لبنان في مسقط، حيث استقبله السفير سماحة الذي شكر شقير والوفد المرافق على كل ما يقومون به لفتح آفاق جديدة للقطاع الخاص في الخارج، مشيرا الى عمان تختزن الكثير من الامكانيات والفرص، لذلك من الضروري العمل بشكل مستمر على تقوية التعاون الاقتصادي مع هذه الدولة الصديقة. وتحدث شقير فنوه بالجهود التي يقوم بها السفير سماحة الذي يبذل جهود كبيرة لتسهيل أمور القطاع الخاص ورجال الأعمال اللبنانيين في عمان، كما نوه بالجهود التي قام بها لإنجاح الزيارة. وقدم شقير درع غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان للسفير سماحة تقديراً لجهوده. وزراة السياحة ثم انتقل الوفد الى وزراة السياحة حيث أجرى مباحثات مثمرة مع الوزير المحروقي، تركزت على الاستفادة من خبرة اللبنانيين في مجال التسويق السياحي وتطوير بيوت الضيافة ومكاتب السياحة والسفر وتشجيع إقامة المطاعم اللبنانية في عمان، وكذلك تشجيع التبادل السياحي. وقد تم الاتفاق على عقد لقاءات في ما خص التعاون السياحي في المجالات لمطروحة أما في لبنان أو في عمان لمتابعة المشاريع المطروحة. وقدم شقير هدية تذكارية لوزير السياحة العماني. شركة التنمية السياحية المحطة الأخيرة كانت في الشركة العمانية للتنمية السياحية حيث أجرى شقير والوفد المرافق مباحثات مع رئيسها البوسعيدي حول التعاون السياحي المشترك. الوفد اللبناني وضم الوفد اللبناني الى شقير كل من: نائب رئيس غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان نبيل فهد، نائب رئيس جمعية الصناعيين اللبنانيين زياد بكداش، رئيس غرفة التجارة الأميركية اللبنانية سليم الزعني، رئيس هيئة تنمية العلاقات الاقتصادية اللبنانية الخليجية ايلي رزق، عضو مجلس إدارة غرفة بيروت وجبل لبنان فيكتور نجاريان، مروان صيداني، محمد رحال وسمير رحال. &nbsp;
